About one home in four in 20707 is a townhouse, in rows through Laurel Lakes, Russett and Maryland City. A Laurel address can also sit in three different counties, and we cover all four Laurel ZIPs.
Lighting homes in Laurel
Laurel is one of the most attached towns we work in. A lot of displays here start on a townhouse row, and that changes how the lights are planned.
About a quarter of the homes in 20707 are townhouses rather than detached houses. On a row the roof is normally low-slope and the front line is shared with the houses on either side. A display that stops at the party wall halfway along can look unfinished, so it is worth talking to the neighbors, and to the HOA if there is one, before the plan is set.
The housing is younger here than in most towns we cover. The biggest single group of homes in 20707 went up in the 1980s, and roughly half were built between 1980 and 2009. On the detached houses that usually means a regular roof shape with clear eave and gable lines, which makes deciding what to light fairly straightforward.
The City of Laurel Historic District covers seven contiguous areas in the north of the city, and the Historic District Commission has design review authority over appearance there. We do not tell you whether a seasonal display falls under that. If your house is inside the district and you are unsure, check with the city before the lights go up.
Housing figures are from published census data for ZIP 20707. County and historic-district boundaries per the City of Laurel.

Planned around your house
Tell us how much or how little you want. Some people want the roofline and nothing else. Others want the whole front of the house. The plan and the price are in writing before anything goes up.
Why a roofer
Most of the damage from Christmas lights is not visible until spring. These are the things we see on roofs after the decorations come down.
We are a roofing company first. If something looks wrong after the season, we can inspect the roof for free and photograph what we find.
Installation and maintenance
Call or send the form with your address and what you would like lit. A rough idea is enough to start.
We check the roofline, the roof surface and where the power will come from, then put the plan and the price in writing.
Licensed, insured roofers working at height every week of the year, not a seasonal crew borrowed for December.
If a section goes dark, call us and we arrange a visit to put it right.

“It’s been great working with Dmitry and Bravo roofing for several years now. They did a full tear off and replace of my flat roof back in 2019. I had a leak last year and Dmitry came out to inspect. He found that an old roof antenna had fallen off and punctured it.”
Tony DeBraccio · Google“I highly recommend Bravo for any kind of roof repair or construction. Dmitry, the business owner, is meticulous and detailed. He personally assessed the leaking overhang roof in our old house and delivered a thorough and economical solution.”
Google review · verified“Very professional, reasonably priced, quick and did a great job. 10/10”

Yes. Laurel mail covers four ZIPs across three counties: 20707 and 20708 are Prince George’s, 20723 is Howard and 20724 is Anne Arundel. Whichever one is on your mail, it is a Laurel address we cover, and the install is the same job on either side of a county line.
That is a question for the City of Laurel rather than for us. The Historic District Commission reviews appearance in the district, and we do not want to guess how that applies to a holiday display. If you are unsure, ask the city first, and we will plan the lights around what they tell you.
It depends on how many feet of roofline and gutter are being lit, how high and steep the roof is, and what else is on the plan, such as trees, windows or a walkway. We look at the house first and give you the price in writing, so you are comparing a real number rather than a per-foot estimate that grows on the day.
It should not, and as a roofing company it is the part we care most about. Nothing should be fastened through your shingles, and nobody should be leaning a ladder on your gutters. If you want to know exactly how your roofline will be attached, ask us before the install and we will walk you through it.
If a strand or a section of your display stops working during the season, call us on (410) 977-4411 and we will arrange a visit to put it right. The details for your house are confirmed in your written quote.
Yes. Bravo Roofing is a licensed Maryland home improvement contractor, MHIC #114601, carrying $1,000,000 in liability coverage plus workers compensation. The same people who replace roofs across Baltimore are the ones on yours.
Earlier is better. Installation dates fill as the season gets closer, so calling in the fall gives you the widest choice of dates. Call (410) 977-4411 for the current schedule.
