Home › Christmas light installation › Reisterstown
Six homes in ten in Reisterstown are detached, so most rooflines here belong to one house and can be lit from end to end. The houses span five decades, though, and the roof you are lighting can look very different from the one next door.
Lighting homes in Reisterstown
Reisterstown Road runs straight down to our office in Pikesville. Around 61% of homes in 21136 are detached, the highest share of any town we work in, which makes this a town of whole rooflines rather than shared ones.
On a detached house the roofline is yours from one end to the other. There is no party wall where the run has to stop and no neighbor’s gutter to work around, so a Reisterstown display can follow the eaves all the way around the house if you want it to. The real decision is what reads well from the street: the front eave alone, the gable ends as well, or the full outline.
The building years here are spread unusually evenly. The 1970s were the biggest decade, with the 1960s, 1990s and 2000s close behind, so two houses on the same road can be thirty years apart. On the 1990s and 2000s streets many original builder roofs are reaching the end of a normal service life. Aged shingle is more fragile to walk on, and if we notice a problem while we are up there, we will tell you.
About 670 homes in the ZIP predate 1940, in the older core and around Glyndon, where slate and heavier materials turn up. Those roofs were never meant to be walked on casually or have anything driven into them. On a house like that we may suggest lighting the gutters, porch and yard and leaving the main roof dark, and we will explain why before you decide.

Planned around your house
Tell us how much or how little you want. Some people want the roofline and nothing else. Others want the whole front of the house. The plan and the price are in writing before anything goes up.
Why a roofer
Most of the damage from Christmas lights is not visible until spring. These are the things we see on roofs after the decorations come down.
We are a roofing company first. If something looks wrong after the season, we can inspect the roof for free and photograph what we find.
Installation and maintenance
Call or send the form with your address and what you would like lit. A rough idea is enough to start.
We check the roofline, the roof surface and where the power will come from, then put the plan and the price in writing.
Licensed, insured roofers working at height every week of the year, not a seasonal crew borrowed for December.
If a section goes dark, call us and we arrange a visit to put it right.

“It’s been great working with Dmitry and Bravo roofing for several years now. They did a full tear off and replace of my flat roof back in 2019. I had a leak last year and Dmitry came out to inspect. He found that an old roof antenna had fallen off and punctured it.”
Tony DeBraccio · Google“I highly recommend Bravo for any kind of roof repair or construction. Dmitry, the business owner, is meticulous and detailed. He personally assessed the leaking overhang roof in our old house and delivered a thorough and economical solution.”
Google review · verified“Very professional, reasonably priced, quick and did a great job. 10/10”

Yes. Reisterstown Road runs straight down to our office in Pikesville, so the drive is a short one. That matters during the season as much as on install day: if a section of your display goes dark, you call us and we arrange a visit rather than leaving it until the next time we happen to be nearby.
Mostly how we get onto the roof, and whether we should. Older houses around Glyndon and the pre-1940 core often carry slate or other heavy material that cracks underfoot. We look at the roof first and tell you honestly which lines can be lit safely, and which are better left alone.
It depends on how many feet of roofline and gutter are being lit, how high and steep the roof is, and what else is on the plan, such as trees, windows or a walkway. We look at the house first and give you the price in writing, so you are comparing a real number rather than a per-foot estimate that grows on the day.
It should not, and as a roofing company it is the part we care most about. Nothing should be fastened through your shingles, and nobody should be leaning a ladder on your gutters. If you want to know exactly how your roofline will be attached, ask us before the install and we will walk you through it.
If a strand or a section of your display stops working during the season, call us on (410) 977-4411 and we will arrange a visit to put it right. The details for your house are confirmed in your written quote.
Yes. Bravo Roofing is a licensed Maryland home improvement contractor, MHIC #114601, carrying $1,000,000 in liability coverage plus workers compensation. The same people who replace roofs across Baltimore are the ones on yours.
Earlier is better. Installation dates fill as the season gets closer, so calling in the fall gives you the widest choice of dates. Call (410) 977-4411 for the current schedule.
