Home › Christmas light installation › Sparks
Just over half the people in 21152 live in areas the census counts as rural, and plenty of houses here sit a long way back from the road. A display in Sparks is often seen from a distance, which changes which lines are worth lighting.
Lighting homes in Sparks
Sparks looks like country from York Road, but about 45% of its homes went up in the 1980s. Lighting a farmhouse set back on a big lot and lighting a Loveton Farms townhouse are two different jobs.
ZIP 21152 covers about 23 square miles of northern Baltimore County at roughly 285 people per square mile. When a house is set well back from the road, fine detail disappears and the overall shape is what carries. The main roofline, the gable ends and perhaps a tree or two near the drive usually do more than trying to light everything. We also plan where the truck parks and how we reach the house before install day.
About 45% of homes here were built in the 1980s, far more than any other decade, and around one in five is attached. Loveton Farms, a townhouse and condo community, is part of that picture. On an attached roof the line is shared with the next unit, so it is worth talking to your neighbors, and checking any association rules, before the lights go up.
At the other end are close to 200 homes built before 1940. An old farmhouse has usually been reroofed many times, sometimes over the top of earlier layers, and its framing was sized for whatever went on first. We look at a roof like that before anyone climbs it. On some of them, lighting the eaves from a ladder is the sensible plan.

Planned around your house
Tell us how much or how little you want. Some people want the roofline and nothing else. Others want the whole front of the house. The plan and the price are in writing before anything goes up.
Why a roofer
Most of the damage from Christmas lights is not visible until spring. These are the things we see on roofs after the decorations come down.
We are a roofing company first. If something looks wrong after the season, we can inspect the roof for free and photograph what we find.
Installation and maintenance
Call or send the form with your address and what you would like lit. A rough idea is enough to start.
We check the roofline, the roof surface and where the power will come from, then put the plan and the price in writing.
Licensed, insured roofers working at height every week of the year, not a seasonal crew borrowed for December.
If a section goes dark, call us and we arrange a visit to put it right.

“It’s been great working with Dmitry and Bravo roofing for several years now. They did a full tear off and replace of my flat roof back in 2019. I had a leak last year and Dmitry came out to inspect. He found that an old roof antenna had fallen off and punctured it.”
Tony DeBraccio · Google“I highly recommend Bravo for any kind of roof repair or construction. Dmitry, the business owner, is meticulous and detailed. He personally assessed the leaking overhang roof in our old house and delivered a thorough and economical solution.”
Google review · verified“Very professional, reasonably priced, quick and did a great job. 10/10”

Yes, but the plan is different. From a distance the outline of the house matters more than detail, so we usually suggest the main roofline and gable ends first. We agree where the truck can park and how we reach the house before install day, so nothing on the property gets worked out on the spot.
Yes. Glencoe is largely surrounded by Sparks and shares the 21152 ZIP, and both are in Baltimore County. If a section of your display goes dark during the season, you call us and we arrange a visit, whichever side of that line you are on.
It depends on how many feet of roofline and gutter are being lit, how high and steep the roof is, and what else is on the plan, such as trees, windows or a walkway. We look at the house first and give you the price in writing, so you are comparing a real number rather than a per-foot estimate that grows on the day.
It should not, and as a roofing company it is the part we care most about. Nothing should be fastened through your shingles, and nobody should be leaning a ladder on your gutters. If you want to know exactly how your roofline will be attached, ask us before the install and we will walk you through it.
If a strand or a section of your display stops working during the season, call us on (410) 977-4411 and we will arrange a visit to put it right. The details for your house are confirmed in your written quote.
Yes. Bravo Roofing is a licensed Maryland home improvement contractor, MHIC #114601, carrying $1,000,000 in liability coverage plus workers compensation. The same people who replace roofs across Baltimore are the ones on yours.
Earlier is better. Installation dates fill as the season gets closer, so calling in the fall gives you the widest choice of dates. Call (410) 977-4411 for the current schedule.
